So it's been yet another glorious day, and the sun has been shining bright. I took complete advantage of the fact that I could take photos outside in my back garden; and so I did. I love the outcome of these, they have come out in such better quality that my usual inside shots. Please comment with your feedback of these, and which ever you prefer.

My favourite aspect of this outfit, are the colours. I love the mixture of; black, grey and white, compared to the orange and red. It brings a great contrast between my head, and my clothing. My only wish now is that I had painted my nails red.

Even though a lot of my outfits consist of bright colours and funky patterns, it's often nice to have a change, with something more on the plain side. How ever, my personal opinion is that with out the leather waistcoat, the skirt and top put together alone may be a bit too pain. If I were to not be wearing the jacket, I would have exaggerated this more with a large necklace.

If you are enjoying my blog so far, please recommend to a friend, or share on your social networking sites - It would be much appreciated. Thank you!

OUTFIT NO. 7

So this is a delayed post, as I wore this outfit at the weekend. It was a gorgeous sunny day, and what better weather to go to a festival? I had an amazing time, with amazing friends. To celebrate the gleaming sunshine, I couldn't wait to get my beloved dungarees out of the wardrobe. I felt so summery with my Rayban sunglasses and backpack - It felt like I was going to the beach!

Some people don't wear anything under dungarees, it's a matter of personal opinion. How ever, I knew that I was going to be jumping around like a lunatic all day, so I thought I would play it safe by wearing this aztec crop. I like the fact that this has short sleeves, and that I wasn't wearing two sleeveless items. Plus, I felt more covered.

My trainers for this occasion, were my oldest of the collection. I deliberately wore these ruined oldies, as I knew that what ever else I wore would only get trampled too. I kind of feel looking back at the photos that they make me look like a tramp - I apologise for that!

I'm back ladies and gents, and I owe you an apology for my great lack of posts lately. Today has been reasonably mild in Bristol, and so I was thrilled that I didn't have to wrap up in too many layers. I've gone for a very simple look today of an oversized shirt, with fish-net tights to match the 'punk' trend for this season. I must admit, I am aware that fish-net tights are risky, but I do adore this 'small holed' pair from Primark.

Now I know what most of you are thinking - "Where are her shorts?!" I can tell you, that the Levis studded black shorts that I am wearing, are hidden underneath my shirt. Keep updated on my upcoming posts to see a peak of these high waisted vintage treasures.

OUTFIT NO. 4

oversized shirt my grandma's
polyester blazer charity shop
leather waistcoat new look
platform chelsea boots urban outfitters
necklace topshop

Today I am wearing one of my beloved oversized shirts, which was in fact my Grandma's. It was a long sleeved shirt before, how ever I have cut the arms off and made the shirt sleeveless. In case any of you are interested in customising clothes, maybe from the charity shop - Once i'd cut the sleeves off, I used an overlocking machine to neaten the edge, before turning the hem inside with a simple straight stich. This gives the shirt a neatened look, in which you can't tell that it's been customised.

I sometimes wear this shirt with my black velvet leggings (especially for the extra warmth due to the horrible weather we've had lately), but today I decided to wear tights. I always have my top button done up on shirts like this one; I'm just so used to it now, I can't imagine ever not wearing one that's buttoned to the top. I personally think that just that small top button, makes the outfit look so much neater, and complete.

So I am wearing the shirt with a black polyester blazer that I found in my local charity shop, for £3.99. It's so nice for a formal outfit, and can practically be worn with anything. I have put my leather waistcoat with this, as it sparks the outfit up with a little bit moe character. Without it, the blazer can look rather plain, and plain is something that I most definitely do not agree with when it comes down to fashion!

Lazy Tuesday

As you can see, I am getting incredibly bored of being sat here at my desk. I didn't ever think I would say this, but I am actually getting bored of drawing... Well, for one day. I must trooper on!

For this lovely lazy day at home today, waking up slightly hungover I decided to put on some of my cosiest clothes, and my favourite granddad jumper. I found this jumper in a charity shop at my hometown a couple of years back.

One of the first things I do when entering a charity shop, is find the jumpers and pounce straight for them. I always look out for traditionally old patterns, that some could also call Christmasy. Once the jumpers have been buried through, I head for the shirts. I love love love oversized shirts; mostly checked. They can go with such a variety of items to create different outfits, or even if it's just for loungewear. You will see a lot of these in time whilst following my blog, and how I dress them to suit my personal style.

Any how, I must get back to it. Have a lovely evening!

So it turns out, getting a certain male friend to take a photograph of me was harder than it seemed, but funny - Hence the really cheesy grin on my face! I wore this outfit last night to a gig at the 02 Academy, to see Jake Bugg. We're all massive fans of Bugg in this house, and so what better outing for us, than to see him live? It was really great fun.

I didn't want to look dressy for this occasion, but nor casual. I certainly didn't want my feet being trampled to death either, so I went with some sensible footwear - Boots! Platform chelsea boots are great; they're incredibly comfy, they give that extra bit of height that all ladies desire, and they can be worn for almost any occasion. Amazingly, I got these in the New Year sale at Urban for £25. I was thrilled!

I knew it was going to be a roasting temperature in there, so I went with that old excuse to be able to wear my new cropped vest that I hadn't worn yet. I always feel rather revealing when I have even an inch of waist band out, but I quite like the look; Having the smallest part of your waist out exaggerates the area, making you look skinner by all means. Once you've taken your oversized coats and jackets off that is! Try it.
